One Word for the Year
Hello, everyone, and thank you for visiting this space, which I am calling "Graceful Musings." I hope you had an amazing holiday!
The New Year brings a different kind of hope, doesn't it? We're looking forward to it because we know it gives us the energy to make a fresh start.
Every year, I set a 'one word' to jumpstart my year...
A word for the year is a word that someone chooses to represent their intentions, goals, or what they want to feel or do in the coming year. It can serve as a compass to help guide someone's actions and direct their time, energy, and other resources.
and in 2025 I chose the word "Continue". 2024 was something. There were a lot of things I've learned that I will surely be bringing with me as I continue my journey in this new year.
The reason that I chose the word 'Continue' is because, for the past 3 years, I have been focused on exploring and growing and now, I feel like slowing down would help me find my balance. I realized life is not a race and as much as I wanted to be on the path of success as soon as I could, I also didn't want to be missing out on things that matter, things that would also help me, things that we should be enjoying at the moment...
During those years of learning, exploring, and surviving, I have already found a rhythm and though I know it's not complete yet, I am confident that what I have learned over the years can take me far. Learning won't stop, but this time, I would like to intentionally enjoy the process and live the moment.
I will continue striving to be the better version of myself regularly.
I will continue to grow, learn, and nurture.
I will continue to help others as much as I can.
I will continue to love myself so I can love others better.
I will continue to prioritize happiness.
I will continue to live by faith.
I will continue living life intentionally and be hopeful.
Cheers to a better, bigger yet slower, and more intentional 2025!
What's your one word for the year?
